About the Role

As a Vice President / Assistant Vice President at a leading Indian mid-market investment bank in Mumbai, your role will involve driving end-to-end execution of M&A and fundraising transactions. This includes preparing investment materials such as information memorandums, financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch decks. You will support transaction execution by engaging with investors, managing due diligence, advising on term sheets and transaction agreements, and facilitating deal closure. Additionally, you will analyze financial statements and effectively present company performance to investors and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include conducting sector research, developing investment theses, identifying business development opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, investors, entrepreneurs, CXOs, PE/VC funds, family offices, and professional advisors, as well as assisting senior leadership in client engagement and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Drive end-to-end execution of M&A and fundraising transactions

  • • Prepare investment materials including information memorandums, financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch decks

  • • Support transaction execution by engaging with investors, managing due diligence, advising on term sheets and transaction agreements, and facilitating deal closure

  • • Analyze financial statements and present company performance effectively to investors and stakeholders

  • • Conduct sector research, develop investment theses, and identify business development opportunities

  • • Build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, entrepreneurs, CXOs, PE/VC funds, family offices, and professional advisors

  • • Assist senior leadership in client engagement and business development initiatives
  • Key Requirements:

  • • Strong analytical, financial modelling, valuation, and financial statement analysis skills

  • • Ability to assess business, strategic, and financial strengths and weaknesses of companies

  • • Strong research capabilities, including developing sector insights and investment theses

  • • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with clients, management teams, and investors

  • • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple engagements while meeting deadlines
  • Preferred candidates for this role are CA/CFA/MBA (from top tier colleges) with experience in:

  • • Investment Banking (M&A and capital raising)

  • • Financial due diligence or valuation with Big 5 firms

  • • Experience in working for strategy/M&A for corporate groups

  • • Experience with back-office investment banking department of bulge bracket IB firms
