About the Role

As the Technical Product Director within the Application Platform team at Chase Travel, you will ignite your passion for product innovation by leading customer-centric development, inspiring solutions, and shaping the future with your strategic vision and influence. You will lead the strategy and execution of products that empower developers to build, deploy, and scale our Travel applications with ease. Your role involves creating world-class developer tools, APIs, SDKs, and documentation that delight developers across all Travel verticals while promoting business growth through strategically implemented foundational technology.

  • • Define and execute the product vision and strategy for the entire Application Platform portfolio

  • • Partner with executives and peers within Chase Travel to align initiatives with overall business objectives

  • • Build and maintain relationships with key technology stakeholders

  • • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives

  • • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure developer satisfaction, adoption, and business impact

  • • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch
  • As a senior software contributor, technical product owner, or software architect, you are required to possess 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise. You should have extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics. Your proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management is essential. Advanced experience with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, and developer ecosystems is expected, along with experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions. Expertise in executive stakeholder management is a key requirement.

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include a background in software engineering or technical architecture, active participation or familiarity with modern developer environments, and active participation in open-source software communities. Architectural knowledge of complex distributed systems, including eventually consistent and event-sourcing, as well as knowledge or experience of secure PCI environments and UI component libraries and frameworks are advantageous. Expansive knowledge of data patterns, stores, queues, and streaming systems, along with experience in any of the following languages & frameworks; .NET, Java, Spring, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, React, will be beneficial for this role.
