About the Role

Role Overview:
As a Tech Risk and Controls Director at JPMorgan Chase India, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the firm's technology risk management strategy. Leveraging your expertise in technology-risk disciplines, you will play a critical role in identifying, overseeing, and mitigating compliance and operational risks in alignment with the firm's standards. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and regulators, you will develop and uphold a comprehensive view of the technology risk posture and its implications on the business. Your ability to make informed decisions, lead teams, and spearhead strategic projects will be essential in ensuring the firm's compliance with regulatory obligations and industry best practices, contributing to the long-term success and resilience of the organization in a constantly evolving technology landscape. You will also be responsible for leading the India CISO function, supporting relevant Legal Entities, and ensuring regulatory compliance and location governance in accordance with Indian financial industry regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Develop and execute technology risk management strategies, policies, and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, driving strategic initiatives to enhance technology risk management capabilities of India regulated entities in compliance with industry best practices, firm standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • • Identify and escalate emerging and upstream technology risks by utilizing the firm's management framework tools, including risk event management, reporting, and action plan tracking. Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on their security obligations to facilitate desired outcomes.

  • • Establish and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key cross-functional team leads, regulators, and auditors, to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • • Manage reporting and governance of overall controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering insights to senior leaders on control effectiveness and supporting governance processes.

  • • Efficiently oversee the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls (CTC) book of work for India regulated entities, including managing regulatory compliance assessments, supervisory exams, periodic regulatory reporting, internal/external audits, risk assessments, location governance forums, and risk advisory.
  • Qualification Required:

  • • Proven leadership skills with over 12 years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information security, or a related field, focusing on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.

  • • Demonstrated proficiency in risk management frameworks, industry standards, and Indian regulatory requirements pertinent to the financial sector (e.g., RBI, SEBI regulations).

  • • Ability to lead teams, drive cross-functional projects, influence executive-level strategic decision-making, and effectively communicate technology insights to senior executives.

  • • Advanced knowledge and experience in leading data security, risk assessment & reporting, control evaluation, design, and governance, with a successful track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.

  • • Preferred certifications include CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or other industry-recognized risk certifications. Role Overview:
