Every day, hundreds of thousands of delivery partners pick up their phones, open our app, and head out to deliver packages that customers are waiting for. That app is the single most important tool in their hands. It guides them through their entire delivery day, from checking in at the station to completing their last stop. We believe our delivery partners deserve world-class technology that makes their work safer, simpler, and more rewarding.

We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader to own and evolve this mobile platform — someone who sees themselves as an accelerator, removing friction for delivery partners worldwide and enabling product teams to ship value to the road faster than ever before.

Key job responsibilities

  • • Hands-On Platform Leadership: Roll up your sleeves and lead from the front. Own the architecture, reliability, and performance of a globally deployed mobile application (iOS . Android) that hundreds of thousands of delivery partners depend on daily.

  • • AI-Powered Software Delivery: Champion and scale AI-native development practices that dramatically compress the time between an idea and value reaching a driver's hands — transforming delivery cycles from weeks to hours.

  • • Operational Excellence: Set the bar for app stability, crash rates, and release quality. Own the mobile release lifecycle including rollout strategy, progressive deployments, and automated health gates across global markets.

  • • Enable Speed at Scale: Build the platform foundations that allow multiple product teams to ship independently and safely — you are the force multiplier that turns good ideas into delivered experiences.

  • • Team Building: Attract, develop, and inspire a team of talented mobile engineers. Foster a culture of technical depth, ownership, and customer obsession for the delivery partner.

  • • Cost . Efficiency: Drive infrastructure and messaging cost optimization while maintaining or improving the transporter experience.

  • • Security . Compliance: Ensure platform adherence to security, privacy, and operational standards across all regions.
  • About the team

    The Transporter Experience Technology organization builds the mobile app that hundreds of thousands of delivery partners rely on every day — guiding them from station check-in to final delivery. We own the end-to-end mobile platform (iOS . Android), on-road experience, communication systems, and developer tooling across 20. countries. We're a globally distributed team spanning the US, Canada, and India, operating at the intersection of mobile engineering, AI-powered development, and logistics at massive scale. We care deeply about the people who use our technology and measure success by how much simpler, faster, and safer we make their work.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • • BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field

  • • 10. years of software development experience, with 5. years managing engineering teams

  • • 3. years of experience building and operating mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android) at scale

  • • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML-powered development tools, agentic frameworks, or AI-assisted software delivery pipelines

  • • Strong technical depth — you still read code, review designs, and can debug production issues alongside your team

  • • Experience managing teams of 15. engineers, ideally across multiple locations

  • • Track record of delivering complex, cross-team platform initiatives on time

  • • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • • Experience with gig economy, logistics, or delivery platforms

  • • Experience operating globally deployed consumer mobile applications with millions of active users

  • • Demonstrated ability to balance platform investment with feature delivery under business constraints

  • • History of driving operational cost optimization at meaningful scale

  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to Director/VP-level audiences

  • • Passion for building technology that directly improves the working lives of frontline workers
