Senior Vice President-Core Banking Delivery/Engineering

As the SVP Engineering & Delivery Head (Banking Platforms) at Intellect Design Arena in Mumbai, India, you will be responsible for building and scaling next-generation banking platforms. Your role will involve leading high-performing engineering teams, guiding architecture decisions, owning the technology roadmap, ensuring successful delivery across global markets, and driving modernization and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering & Architecture Leadership

- Lead and mentor engineering teams across various domains such as Backend, Frontend, DevOps, QA, SRE, Data & Cloud.
- Review architecture decisions and performance bottlenecks, ensuring engineering excellence.
- Institutionalize clean code practices, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, performance, scalability, and VAPT.

• Product & Platform Ownership

- Drive the technology roadmap for banking platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Design systems for configurability and enterprise-grade reliability.

• Delivery Governance & Client Success

- Take end-to-end delivery responsibility across multiple programs and markets.
- Define delivery governance metrics like release cadence, velocity, throughput, and production stability.
- Act as a senior delivery escalation authority with CXO/client leadership.

• Modernization & Transformation

- Lead the modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
- Drive transformation initiatives for improved efficiency, scalability, and integration.
- Enable the adoption of modern platforms, tools, and engineering practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 20+ years of experience in product engineering and delivery within BFSI.

• Proven leadership in managing large engineering and delivery organizations.

• Strong expertise in Java, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Successful track record in building and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.

• Experience in Core Banking, Lending, or Transaction Banking.

• Proficient in stakeholder management across product, business, and client teams.
