About the Role

As a technical lead position in the Equity Finance Technology team at Citi, located in Pune, you will be responsible for developing platform vision and strategy to support Prime Growth. Your role will involve working closely with global technology leads, providing technical oversight to a team of developers, and resolving high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. You will ensure that change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals, including implementation of new and revised regulatory reporting requirements. Your expertise in Java, messaging frameworks, caching, and low latency systems will be essential in building business solutions through agile delivery.

Responsibilities: - Develop platform vision and strategy to support Prime Growth, working closely with global technology leads - Provide technical oversight of a team of developers locally - Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

  • • Ensure change is managed with appropriate controls, documentation, and approvals

  • • Solve the highest-impact, highest-profile problems with significant business impact

  • • Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming

  • • Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions

  • • Serve as adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts

  • • Assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations

    • Key Skills and Experience required: - 10+ years of relevant experience in Applications Development and previous leadership of developers

  • • Awareness of building event-based systems with low latency trading requirements

  • • Comprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile delivery

  • • Ability to work under pressure managing multiple activities and changing priorities

  • • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • • Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones

  • • Technical skills in Java, Kafka, Distributed Caching, SQL, Git

  • • Experience in performing QA, TDD, and BDD practices

  • • Building containerized solutions that horizontally scale

  • • Exposure to AI solutions to accelerate development

  • • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically

    • Any Beneficial / Nice to have skills and experience: - React and full stack development

  • • Knowledge of Prime Services is a plus
