Senior Manager/Associate Director

The position is with our subsidiary entity, MobiKwik Financial Services Private Limited, which is the NBFC.

About the Role:

This role will be responsible for managing and strengthening the regulatory compliance framework for the NBFC business, ensuring adherence to RBI regulations and other applicable laws. The incumbent will work closely with business, product, risk, and operations teams to ensure all lending products, customer journeys, and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements. The role also includes managing regulatory reporting, audits, and engagement with regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Advisory:

- Ensure end-to-end compliance with RBI regulations applicable to NBFC, including guidelines on digital lending, responsible business conduct, prudential norms, co-lending, etc.

- Monitor and implement regulatory circulars, notifications, and guidelines issued by RBI and other relevant authorities.

- Provide advisory support to lending, credit, product, and operations teams to ensure compliant product structures and customer journeys.

- Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, Fair Practices Code, outsourcing guidelines, and digital lending norms.

Reporting & Framework:

- Oversee regulatory reporting and filings (returns, disclosures, etc.) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Design, implement, and periodically update compliance policies/framework, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.

- Maintain strong governance and handle regulatory escalations and critical compliance issues.

Audits & Regulatory Engagement:

- Manage and coordinate RBI inspections, internal audits, and compliance reviews.

- Liaise with RBI and other regulatory bodies for submissions, clarifications, and compliance matters.

- Lead regulatory readiness for audits, inspections, circular changes, and enforcement actions.

Operations & Risk Monitoring:

- Monitor and ensure timely resolution of customer grievances as per regulatory timelines.

- Drive compliance monitoring, risk mitigation, and regulatory change management initiatives.

- Conduct rigorous testing and assessments to ensure all operational processes remain in full alignment with industry regulations and legal requirements.

- Proactively identify potential compliance gaps or risks within workflows and implement corrective actions to protect the organization from legal or financial liabilities.

- Maintain meticulous documentation of all testing procedures and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
