1. Role Summary

The Senior Manager – Career Services . Employer Engagement will be responsible for building and strengthening the career value proposition for CFA Society India members and CFA Program candidates by driving strategic employer engagement initiatives, executing flagship career events such as CFA Career Days and the Financial Talent Summit, and supporting delivery of career-focused workshops and professional development programs.

The role requires strong employer relationship management capabilities, event execution expertise, and the ability to work with senior stakeholders across industry, CFA Society India committees, and CFA Institute-aligned professional standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A) Employer Engagement . Business Development (Primary Responsibility)

• Develop and implement a structured employer engagement strategy to increase recruitment and brand partnerships.

• Identify, target, and onboard employers across investment banking, asset management, private equity, wealth management, consulting, corporate finance, and fintech.

• Build and maintain relationships with HR leaders, talent acquisition teams, and senior business leaders.

• Position CFA Charterholders and candidates as preferred talent for relevant finance roles.

• Secure employer participation for career fairs, summits, networking events, and employer-led sessions.

• Manage employer database and engagement pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-ups and reporting.

B) Execution of Flagship Career Events

• Plan and execute end-to-end delivery of CFA Career Days and the Financial Talent Summit (multi-city and/or national formats).

• Drive event strategy including themes, employer participation plan, program agenda, speaker curation, and participant experience.

• Coordinate with vendors, venues, event partners, sponsors, and internal teams for flawless execution.




Manage event budgets, timelines, risk management, and operational planning.

• Ensure post-event feedback collection and improvement implementation.

C) Career Workshops . Professional Development Programs

• Support the design and delivery of career-related learning programs aligned with member and candidate needs, including but not limited to:

o Financial Modelling . Valuation

o Equity Research and Credit Analysis

o Portfolio Management / Wealth Advisory

o Interview Preparation, Resume Building, and Career Transition

o Setting up an Advisory / Wealth Management Practice

• Identify and engage subject matter experts, trainers, and industry speakers.

• Coordinate registrations, communications, content planning, and participant engagement.

D) Stakeholder Management . Committee Coordination

• Work closely with the CFA Society India Career Committee and volunteer leaders to execute annual priorities.

• Prepare meeting agendas, progress reports, and follow-up action trackers.

• Ensure alignment with CFA Institute guidelines, brand standards, and society governance practices.

E) Marketing . Communication Support (Career Initiatives)

• Coordinate with internal marketing/communications teams to drive participation and employer visibility.

• Support promotional campaigns through LinkedIn, email marketing, member newsletters, and event collateral.

• Ensure professional quality and CFA-aligned messaging across all outward communications.

Monitoring, Reporting . Governance

• Maintain accurate reporting of employer engagement, event outcomes, sponsorship revenue, and member/candidate participation.

• Track KPI performance on a monthly and quarterly basis and submit structured reports to leadership.

• Ensure proper documentation, event compliance, approvals, and vendor contracting processes.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Employer Engagement KPIs

• Number of new employer relationships onboarded per quarter (Target-driven).

• Employer retention rate / repeat participation in career events.




Number of employer-led sessions conducted (speaker sessions, hiring panels, networking).

• Number of job opportunities / hiring leads facilitated (direct and indirect metrics).

• Employer satisfaction score (post-event survey results).

Flagship Event KPIs (Career Days . Financial Talent Summit)

• Number of events executed annually (minimum targets defined in annual plan).

• Total participation (members . candidates) across all events.

• Number of participating firms (employers, sponsors, partners).

• Event NPS/satisfaction rating from participants.

• Budget adherence (% variance against approved budgets).

• Timeliness and execution quality (milestone completion tracking).

Workshops . Career Development KPIs

• Number of workshops conducted annually.

• Average attendance per workshop and conversion rate from registrations to participation.

• Participant satisfaction score.

• Number of industry trainers/speakers onboarded.

Commercial / Sponsorship KPIs (if applicable)

• Sponsorship revenue generated from career events and workshops.

• Number of sponsorship partners acquired.

• Cost-to-revenue ratio for large events.

Internal Process KPIs

• CRM/database accuracy and reporting compliance.

• Committee action closure rate within defined timelines.

• Quality of stakeholder communication (measured through internal feedback).

4. Decision-Making Authority

• Responsible for employer engagement planning and execution within approved strategy.

• Authority to recommend partnerships, vendors, and speaker engagements.

• Budget utilization authority as per delegated limits and approval matrix.

• Program-level decision-making for agenda, execution approach, and engagement design.

6. Qualifications . Experience

Educational Qualifications

• MBA / Postgraduate degree in Management, Finance, Marketing, or related discipline preferred.

• Strong understanding of finance industry roles and talent requirements is desirable.

Experience Requirements

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in corporate relations, employer engagement, recruitment partnerships, professional development programs, or premium event management.

• Prior experience in working with professional associations, institutes, industry bodies, or executive education platforms is strongly preferred.

• Exposure to BFSI sector and talent ecosystem is an advantage.
