About the Role
We are looking for a visionary Senior Director of Product to lead our Cross-Border Payments portfolio. You will own the strategic direction, product roadmap, and P&L for our international collections, payouts, and compliance products. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a blend of deep regulatory understanding, strategic foresight, and exceptional execution capabilities.
You will lead a high-performing team of Group Product Managers and Senior PMs, working closely with our engineering, compliance, bank alliances, and go-to-market teams to scale our cross-border operations globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute a multi-year product strategy for Cashfrees cross-border payment solutions, encompassing inward/outward remittances, dynamic currency conversion, multi-currency accounts, and API integrations.
- P&L Ownership: Drive adoption, volume growth, and monetization strategies to expand our cross-border market share.
- Regulatory Leadership: Leverage our PA-CB license to build robust, compliant-by-design products. Work closely with legal and banking partners to navigate FEMA, RBI guidelines, and international financial regulations.
- Global Expansion: Identify new corridors, international alternative payment methods (APMs), and local partnerships to scale the product globally.
- Team Development: Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class team of product managers. Establish product management best practices, frameworks, and a strong culture of customer obsession.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering to deliver high-availability systems (99.99% uptime), and collaborate with Sales/Marketing to refine go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of core Product Management experience, strictly post-MBA.
- Domain Expertise: Deep domain knowledge in Fintech, specifically in cross-border payments, forex, international payment gateways, remittances, or global banking infrastructure.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing and scaling product teams, mentoring senior PMs, and influencing C-level stakeholders.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architectural discussions, API design, and system scalability.
- Regulatory Navigation: Strong understanding of India's regulatory landscape (RBI, FEMA, PA-CB guidelines) and global compliance standards (KYC/KYB, AML, PCI-DSS).
- Data-Driven: Exceptional analytical skills with a history of defining and moving key product metrics (adoption, conversion rate, margin, retention).
