Senior Director of Operations - India
Job Description:
- The Sr. Director Overseeing Projects in India, Angola and other nearby counties will be based out of Hyderabad, India office.
- In this role, you will report to the Vice President Global operations, overseeing a team of Project Managers/ Sr. Project Managers/ Construction mangers within India, Angola with potential future expansion in nearby countries, ensuring best in class service to our customers.
- You will also ensure safety protocols are followed on project sites and manage customer accounts/projects from procurement to commissioning while providing technical support and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Additionally, responsibilities include overseeing customer accounts, handing customer escalations, project teams, managing whole customer accounts or project finances, coordinating logistics, and advocating for customer needs within the company.
- You will also be handling manpower /third party agencies for timely and effectively deployment of construction engineers as per the customer requirement/contractual obligation

Here Is a Glimpse Of What Youll Do
- Responsible for your own safety, and shared responsibility for the safety of allNextpower staff, contractors, and visitors to your project sites.
- A good understanding ofWHS principles and safety management is required
- Read, understand, and comply with Nextpower company policies andprocedures as outlined from time to time
- Responsible for managing whole customer accounts or groups of Projects from PO to Commissioning and takingownership of all aspects of these Projects
- Responsible for managing Sr. Project Managers / Project Managers / Construction Managers / Engineers to effectively manage an entire team
- Responsible for overseeing the success and development of direct reports
- Provides technical support for Nextracker customers, ensuring a best-in-class customerexperience and providing product and systems expertise to the customer
- Develop and maintain technical understanding of PV solar tracking systems andassociated tools
- Ensure a strong customer care experience and be able to effectively communicateresolutions for customer issues
- Coordinate the ordering of tools for the Projects and ensuring availability of tools andtraining for the Projects
- Manage Project P&L including revenue forecasting, invoicing, cash flow and costmanagement
- Provide customer field support for installation and quality control, including drivingresolution to quality issues by Non-Conformance Report and Construction DeviationReport processes
- Coordinate and drive the successful on-time delivery of all products needed from PO todelivery, liaising with Design Engineering, Supply, Logistics, freight forwarders and thecustomers.
- Establish, measure and report key performance indicators for customer care to drivebehavior and performance
- Play a key role in cross-functional product teams, providing recommendations based onsystems integration expertise and customer needs assessment and feedback
- Supports product development, sales, and marketing as requested
- Internal customer voice, an advocate for the customer within Nextpower
- Responsible for monitoring country specific documentations requirements and compliance to regulatory requirements if any
- Managing Third party / construction engineers deployment and contract negotiation with the manpower agencies
Here Is Some Of What Youll Need (required)
- Minimum 20-25 years of combined Project Manager and Operations management experience gained in energy, construction, mining, oil & gas fields
- Bachelors Degree in Project Management or equivalent experience required
- Strong project management skills and qualifications
- Ability to manage direct reports with a high degree of professionalism
- Excellent customer service skillsManaging escalations
- Experience interfacing with supply chain procurement and logistics
- Experience in and talent for dealing with customer support and O&M issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Passion for solar or renewable energy
- Strong knowledge of PV technology and its applications
- Hands-on experience with photovoltaic tracking solar systems a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
