About the Role

As the Regional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Boku Inc., your role is to lead and mature the cybersecurity program in India for the alternative payments platform. Your responsibilities include protecting customer data, ensuring transaction integrity, reducing operational and regulatory risks, and enabling compliant growth. You will collaborate closely with various teams to align policies, uplift the resilience program, and enhance security capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain an information & cyber security policy and India risk appetite approved by the Board. - Chair security governance forums and provide regular briefings to the India Board/Risk Committee. - Conduct security awareness programs, training for engineering teams, and executive tabletop exercises.

  • • Ensure compliance with RBI expectations for payment system operators and PA/PG entities.

  • • Define and maintain a 24/7 incident response capability and coordinate with Group Security for effective response.

  • • Act as the cybersecurity point of contact for internal and external auditors and lead communication with them.

  • • Lead the India Cybersecurity & IT Steering Committee and collaborate with Group Security on a capability roadmap.
  • Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT, Engineering or a related field.

  • • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 31000, etc.

  • • Cloud security certifications and familiarity with PCI DSS are beneficial.

  • • Experience with fraud risk, behavioural analytics, and payments risk engines is a plus.
  • In addition to the above qualifications and responsibilities, it is important to have a clean regulatory record, high integrity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
