About the Role

As a Vice President at Morgan Stanley in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in the Investment Management department by collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver private side performance reporting. Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business requirements in private side performance reporting.

  • • Coordinating with fund administrators and internal teams to review private fund financials.

  • • Creating a consolidated view of positions, valuations, and performance by aggregating and reconciling data across private funds.

  • • Delivering accurate and timely data to downstream consumers including Risk, Finance, Operations, and Senior Management.

  • • Maintaining data integrity by managing and reconciling referential data across multiple systems.

  • • Partnering with business teams on strategic priorities and initiatives related to private side funds and alternative strategies.

  • • Driving process improvements through automation and innovative data management solutions.

  • • Conducting data quality reviews, reconciliations, and reporting assessments.

  • • Monitoring and reporting on key metrics related to investment data.

  • • Supporting the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Qualifications desired for this role include:

  • • MBA from Reputed Universities, CA/CFA, or Master's degree with a major in Finance from top colleges.

  • • 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on Private Markets/Alternative Fund strategies and private side fund structures.

  • • Solid understanding of fund administration, investor reporting, reconciliations, and private fund financials.

  • • Proven track record of leveraging automation and data tools like Alteryx, Artificial Intelligence, Tableau & Power BI.

  • • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.

  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • • Excellent project and time management skills.
