About the Role

As a Development Lead in the Aladdin Engineering Alternatives department at BlackRock in Gurgaon, India, you will play a crucial role in establishing and growing the Software Engineering team. Specifically, you will be focusing on evolving the private markets product, eFront Invest, which is an industry-leading software providing end-to-end solutions for the Alternative Investment players.

Role Overview: - You will be fully integrated into the Aladdin eFront Engineering Team, where you will work on both the technical and functional layers of innovative products in the fast-growing Private Credit industry. - Your responsibilities will include mentoring and guiding junior talent, analyzing, refining, implementing, and validating new features, and strengthening database management policies. - You will collaborate with other development teams, business partners, and QA team members to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities: - Building new features from conception to deployment in production

  • • Handling aspects of a SaaS product, including production monitoring and incident resolution on the cloud platform

  • • Contributing to the improvement of team methodologies such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, automated testing, and standard processes' definition

  • • Collaborating with different groups within the Alternative Engineering team
  • Qualifications Required: - Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, or a related software engineering background

  • • Experience in team and people management in an engineering environment

  • • Significant experience in software development

  • • Ability to autonomously understand existing codebase concepts

  • • Curiosity about the functional part of the product and base knowledge about the Finance industry

  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance multiple projects

  • • Proficient in English, both written and spoken
