About the Role

As the Managing Director for Chief Product Office (IS) India at State Street, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing various teams focusing on Product Strategy, Product Advocacy, Product Content Strategy & Warehousing, Regulatory Intelligence, and Product related governance. Your role will report directly to the Chief-of-Staff of the Global Chief Product Office (CPO) within Investment Services (IS) and be functionally accountable to the India Head of Investment Services Product and Commercial Office & GCF. The IS CPO is a specialized group responsible for managing, developing, and commercializing products and solutions for Investment Services, with local leadership oversight in India.

Role Overview:
You will be based in either Hyderabad or Mumbai and will lead various key functions within the Product Office. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Leading structured market analysis to identify trends, shifts, and opportunities, informing strategic product decisions

  • • Conducting product-focused competitive intelligence and translating insights into clear implications for product strategy

  • • Developing product business cases supported by financial modeling

  • • Translating market, regulatory, and client insights into product-led advocacy positions

  • • Establishing and overseeing the production of strategic, product-led research and regulatory insights

  • • Driving strategy and execution for an enterprise platform that houses product content and thought leadership assets

  • • Defining, standardizing, and publishing a model for regulatory horizon scanning

  • • Leading process re-engineering initiatives to simplify workflows and improve efficiency

  • • Overseeing governance and execution of executive forums and new business/product approvals

  • • Managing a high-performing, multidisciplinary team and partnering effectively with stakeholders
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • Seasoned leader with extensive product experience and proactive strategic leadership skills

  • • Strategic thinker with financial acumen, global perspective, and excellent interpersonal skills

  • • Demonstrated experience in problem assessment, resolution, and collaborative problem-solving

  • • Strong communication skills and deep understanding of competitive landscape and client needs

  • • Track record in strategic planning and product management supporting revenue generation

  • • Ability to think strategically, manage complexity, and prioritize effectively

  • • Over 18 years of total work experience and 10+ years of relevant business/product experience

  • • Bachelors degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
