About the Role

As the Head of Finance for a fast-growing edtech startup in Bangalore, your role will involve leading the end-to-end finance function for this capex-heavy and operations-intensive business. You will be responsible for various aspects including P&L ownership, FP&A, investor relations, fixed assets management, financial operations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Own and oversee the finance function which includes FP&A, business finance, controllership, AP/AR, tax, audit, compliance, and treasury.

  • • Take the lead in preparing for and executing an IPO, managing audits, DRHP preparation, governance, SEBI compliance, and investor communication.

  • • Manage capex and fixed assets by handling planning, approvals, capitalization, and lifecycle tracking.

  • • Collaborate with business teams to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

  • • Establish and lead a high-performing finance team.

  • • Essential requirement: Strong experience in investor relations.

  • • Demonstrated focus on business finance within capex-heavy and operations-intensive sectors.

  • • Preferred qualifications: Engineer + CA or MBA Finance + CA.

  • • 1218+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership.

  • • Hands-on approach, sound commercial acumen, and proven track record in managing sizable teams and budgets.
