About the Role

As the Head of Digital 2 at G+D, you will be leading a team of Software Engineers and Architects in agile cross-functional Scrum teams. Your role will involve managing digital products that enhance banknote processing systems, cash logistics, transportation, delivery of cash, and monitoring solutions to optimize the efficiency and security of the cash cycle. Key products include Compass Cash Center and Compass Transport, which are utilized globally by banks and cash-in-transit businesses. Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Software Engineers and Architects to form high-performing teams within agile Scrum teams.

  • • Managing team capacity, resource allocation, and project assignments, including external partners.

  • • Collaborating with other engineering leaders to enhance software engineering excellence, efficiency, and best practices across the software organization.

  • • Contributing to the software engineering roadmap, driving improvement and technology initiatives.

  • • Cultivating a culture of ownership, self-organization, quality, security by design, and a learning-oriented environment.

  • • Ensuring team adherence to quality standards and testing processes.
  • Qualification:

  • • B. Tech or Bachelors in computer science or a relevant field (Required)

  • • M. Tech or Masters in computer science or a relevant field (Preferred)

  • • 15+ years of experience as a software engineer, software architect, and team lead
  • Required Skills:

  • • Hands-on experience with enterprise desktop, web, and cloud applications using Java stack, .NET stack, and various database systems

  • • Familiarity with on-prem infrastructure, containerization, and Azure Cloud

  • • Knowledge of CI/CD, test automation, security practices, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), and quality assurance

  • • Expertise in managing end-to-end software development projects and sustaining engineering

  • • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on scalability and performance optimization

  • • Ability to manage complex team dynamics, drive employee engagement, and work within an Agile environment

  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in an intercultural environment

  • • Drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture

  • • Strong people management skills focusing on coaching, mentoring, and professional growth
