About the Role

As the Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) for the company, your role will involve leading the financial strategy, governance, and consolidated reporting for the Groups South African entities, while also overseeing India-based finance operations to ensure efficiency, cost optimization, and strong financial controls. Your responsibilities will encompass budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, foreign exchange management, statutory compliance, intercompany transactions, and ERP/system oversight. You will act as a key strategic partner to the Board, collaborate closely with auditors and regulators, and ensure robust internal controls and performance management across geographies.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables: - Develop and implement the Groups global financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives. - Drive consolidated financial governance, reporting standards, and internal controls for South African group entities. - Establish and maintain strong financial policies, risk frameworks, and compliance practices across the Group.

  • • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for operational entities in South Africa and support and shared service cost structures in India.

  • • Oversee preparation of consolidated MIS in India for South African operations.

  • • Ensure statutory compliance, financial sign-offs, and regulatory adherence for South African entities.

  • • Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, tax advisors, and company secretarial partners.

  • • Manage Group-wide cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning across India and South Africa.

  • • Oversee treasury operations, banking relationships, and credit facilities.

  • • Present consolidated financial statements, forecasts, and strategic financial insights to the Board.

  • • Oversee ERP, financial systems, and reporting tools to ensure accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Qualifications Required: - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); MBA is mandatory.

  • • Proven finance leader currently operating in a Group CFO or equivalent senior leadership role.

  • • Strong exposure to overseas business entities and cross-border financial operations.

  • • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, international taxation, and cross-border compliance.

  • • Demonstrated experience working with Boards, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

  • • Strong strategic mindset with excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
