About the Role

As a Director, Technical Consulting at Salesforce Professional Services, you will play a crucial role in leading the Industries Architects Practice within the Global Delivery Centre (GDC) team. Your responsibilities will include people leadership, career coaching, project oversight, and building the technical architects team. Additionally, you will contribute to internal initiatives, the practice business plan, team enablement methodology, onboarding new architects, capacity planning, and recruitment efforts to strengthen the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Lead a team of up to 15 direct reports, balancing technical work as a senior technical architect on Industries domain projects with team leadership responsibilities.

  • • Plan capacity, hire, train, mentor Technical Architects, and guide them on their Certified Technical Architect (CTA) journey.

  • • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting in deploying emerging technologies for increased business value.

  • • Drive internal critical initiatives to enhance the Industries Architects consulting practice and contribute to the community's knowledge base.

  • • Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions meeting client needs.

  • • Lead Enterprise Architecture and Governance for enterprise-level customer engagements, shaping architectural vision and establishing program architectural roadmap.

  • • Conduct functional and technical workshops, design, deliver, test, and deploy solutions.

  • • Manage a project team of developers focusing on optimized solutions leveraging Salesforce Industries Clouds.

  • • Ensure team success, high customer satisfaction, and positive business outcomes.

  • • Manage customer expectations, negotiate solutions to complex problems, and establish trust with customer leadership.

  • • Proactively address risk areas in the solution and see issues through to completion.
  • Qualifications Required:

  • • 18+ years of experience leading Salesforce technical consulting projects and handling individual contributors.

  • • 8+ years of people management experience.

  • • Strong application design, data, integration, and security architecture skills.

  • • Expertise in Salesforce Industries Cloud, Sales/Service/Experience Cloud, and Vlocity OmniStudio.

  • • Expertise in domains like Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail, and Consumer Goods.

  • • Proficiency in Integration Architecture, Platform Security, Identity and Access Management, Data Architecture and Management, Architectural Design Patterns, Apex Design Patterns, Salesforce/Apex, Triggers, Lightning Flows, Lightning, LWC, and modern web/mobile technologies.

  • • Proficiency in English.
  • Preferred Requirements:

  • • Certified Technical Architect (CTA).

  • • Salesforce Certifications like Admin, Developer, Sales, Service Clouds, System and Application Architect.

  • • OmniStudio Developer/Consultant.

  • • Strong communication, analytical, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
