About the Role

Job description:

  • • Originate structured financing from selected from new and existing clients in India, in coordination with other relevant front office teams including, but not limited to, coverage, distribution and other relevant product teams

  • • Take a leading role in marketing SPDA-SCG’s product expertise, by promoting bespoke and innovative financing proposals

  • • Engage in designing and establishing new product initiatives as needed

  • • Autonomously lead and manage deal teams assigned to handle transactions’ full execution cycle, including:

  • + Review and preliminary assessment of new financing opportunities
    + Deal structuring and negotiation of term sheets
    + Conduct of due diligence / financial modelling
    + Assist execution team in running internal credit process including preparation or review of internal discussion papers, credit applications, Q.A etc…
    + Assist execution team in negotiating and reviewing loan documentations
    + Coordinate KYC and internal ancillary processes
  • • Ensure and promote a disciplined approach to all internal compliance requirements and applicable local regulations

  • • Support other strategic initiatives and perform other tasks as required/defined from time to time

  • • 10-14 years of front office experience in leading financial institution(s) with established presence in India , primarily dealing with structured financing, including: share-backed financing, back-leveraging, junior/subordinated debt or other type of bespoke financing, involving corporates and/or family offices

  • • Established managerial skills

  • • Robust knowledge of (i) legal concepts applying to structured financing transactions and (ii) financial equity and debt instruments

  • • Good modelling experience and financial/risk analysis skills

  • • Demonstrable project management skills would be viewed favourably

  • • University graduate with strong academic background
  • Behavioural Competencies

  • • Articulate with strong written and oral communication

  • • Good Interpersonal skills, with both external counterparties and internal stakeholders
