About the Role

- This leadership role is responsible for spearheading end-to-end Indirect Procurement for India, managing both local and global business requirements while aligning closely with regional and global procurement strategies. The Director - Procurement will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across business, IT, and finance, driving strategic sourcing decisions and enabling strong commercial outcomes.

- With a strong emphasis on technology and services procurement, the role oversees sourcing across IT services, SaaS, cloud, digital, and managed services, along with broader indirect categories. The incumbent will ensure delivery of value-driven procurement outcomes by collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and embedding best-in-class sourcing practices.

- A critical aspect of the role is owning the complete procurement lifecycle, including RFI/RFP/RFQ management, commercial negotiations, vendor selection, contract structuring, and renewals. The role requires close partnership with Legal and Finance teams to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and optimize contractual frameworks.

- The Director will also be accountable for establishing robust procurement governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, standardization of processes, and high levels of transparency and control across procurement activities. This includes driving disciplined spend management, improving visibility into procurement metrics, and ensuring consistent tracking of savings and cost efficiencies.

- From a supplier standpoint, the role focuses on building and managing a high-performing vendor ecosystem, including vendor rationalization, development of preferred supplier programs, and fostering long-term strategic partnerships. Regular vendor performance reviews and governance mechanisms will be key to ensuring service quality, cost competitiveness, and compliance.

- Cost optimization is a core expectation, with the incumbent driving both cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives through strategic sourcing, effective negotiations, and continuous identification of efficiency opportunities.

- In addition, the role will lead and develop a lean procurement team, setting clear goals, defining performance metrics, and driving capability development. The Director will foster a collaborative, execution-focused culture while mentoring team members and enhancing overall procurement maturity within the organization.

- Overall, this position demands a seasoned procurement leader with strong expertise in technology sourcing, deep commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, global environment.
