About the Role

As a Director at Balbix, you will lead, build, and own complex data pipelines dealing with petabytes of data and manage applications with distributed systems. The Balbix platform is used as a critical security tool by CIOs, CISOs, and sec-ops teams of small, medium, and large-sized enterprises globally, including Fortune 10 companies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve real-world cybersecurity problems.

Role Overview: - Lead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of the backend/api platform - Build a cross-functional team of engineers for delivering backend for distributed applications - Establish development processes and best practices for backend engineering

• Effectively track and manage changing priorities to bring clarity and balance long-term projects with critical customer issues

• Establish a technical vision for backend product teams and own end-to-end delivery and implementation plans

• Develop scalable, performant, and highly secure architecture

• Actively mentor Principal and Senior engineers to develop talent
Qualification Required: - PhD, Masters, or Bachelors Degree in computer science
• 12+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in frameworks/platform development

• 5+ years of experience managing development teams across different geographies on complex customer-facing data-driven applications

• 5+ years of experience in setting up effective development processes and mechanisms

• 5+ years of experience in design, architecture, and development of complex distributed systems and frameworks

• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one language such as Java, C++, Go, Rust, Python, etc.

• Experience working with product managers to develop short-term and long-term product roadmaps

• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capability, and a pragmatic approach to business

• Strong communications skills to engage with cross-functional teams, executives, and customers
