We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Engineering Group Leader to lead our Client Entitlement . Authentication capability within the Digital Channels Platform. This role is in Pune or Chennai.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

The Client Entitlement . Authentication group seeks to increase the speed and accuracy of provisioning ; reduce the number of locations provisioning occurs, accelerate the time from onboarding to provisioning via self-service and offer a menu of flexible authentication options to users and clients In this role,

  • • This role requires a visionary leader who can build and manage high-performing teams, drive innovation, and deliver technology solutions that enhance business outcomes.

  • • Lead and manage global development teams, ensuring appropriate design, technical capabilities, and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives.

  • • Champion change management initiatives, encouraging innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in technology solutions.

  • • Drive quality and adherence to best practice in the end-to-end design and implementation of systems and processes.

  • • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders, as well as clients, to develop solutions that drive revenue, client satisfaction, and efficiency.

  • • Develop and execute group-wide business plans and participate in firm-wide initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

  • • Lead risk identification and mitigation efforts, handling escalations effectively.

  • • Drive recruitment, development, and retention of diverse talent, fostering an inclusive culture that supports professional growth and wellbeing.

  • • Manage operating budgets, forecast resource needs, and ensure financial discipline within the approved plans.

  • • Motivate and mentor team members to maximize their contributions and support their career development.


    • To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.

  • • 15. years of experience in systems analysis, program development, and technology leadership.

  • • Minimum of 6-8 years managing development project teams, preferably in complex, global environments.

  • • Demonstrated capability working with the training and deployment of AI agents

  • • Ability to operate in and influence a federated ecosystem of design, product and engineering teams

  • • Experience architecting large scale portal experiences including data architecture, API design and entitlement management

  • • Core Java, JAVA 11 and above Object Oriented Programming concepts, Spring, Spring boot, hibernate, RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, Gitlab, Docker, CI/CD, S3,

  • • Understanding of JVM, memory usage, performance testing and tuning.

  • • Understand nuances of architecture, Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.

  • • Understand microservices based, scalable architecture (previous experience working with Kafka).

  • • Hands-on experience with micro-frontend architecture and frameworks like Angular.

  • • Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency. Experience implementing caching (using Hazelcast/ ehcache / Memcached/others).

  • • Skill for writing reusable Java libraries

  • • Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services

  • • Proven ability to lead large-scale technology projects and deliver results on time and within budget.

  • • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated commitment to agile and inclusive engineering culture.

  • • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • • Experience in financial services or related industries is a plus.
