About the Role

We are reaching out regarding an exciting leadership opportunity with one of our clients for the role of Deputy Managing Director .

Location : IMT Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana, India (onsite role, with monthly visits to Gujarat factory)

Training : 3–5 months in Japan (Tokyo → Aichi → Subsidiary), if applicant is based in India

Languages : Business-level English is mandatory; Japanese proficiency required

Role Overview

You will assist the President in management responsibilities, driving organizational strengthening, and preparing to lead clients as future President.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop India’s management strategy aligned with mid-term corporate goals.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability improvements.
• Oversee monthly accounting, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Evaluate performance against financial strategy and business plans; report to CFO, CEO, and ASEAN Regional Head.
• Lead personnel management, training, and organizational development.
• Support related management initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Required Experience & Skills
• Proven work experience in India, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong management background in manufacturing (sales, engineering, production, etc.).
• Business-level English proficiency.

Preferred Experience
• Executive / management experience in India.
• Prior work experience in a Japanese company.
• Business-level Japanese proficiency.
