About the Role

Green GSM is currently hiring for Depot Director /Operations Manager in the India and planning to expand into multiple cities. We are looking for candidates who are excited to grow with us and contribute to building strong, engaged driver communities across the country. The Depot Director /Operations Manager is responsible for organizing, directing, supervising, and adjusting all operational activities at the depot to ensure the successful execution of assigned plans. This role plays a key part in managing people, processes, assets, and compliance to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Organizational . People Management

  • • Develop manpower plans and coordinate with the Recruitment team to ensure sufficient staffing.

  • • Organize onboarding and training programs for new hires; implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.

  • • Assign tasks to depot staff in alignment with job functions and responsibilities.

  • • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • • Collaborate with the Training team to implement ongoing training programs.

  • • Set action plans, delegate tasks, and ensure execution meets company KPIs and strategic direction.

    Financial Management

  • • Prepare and monitor depot budgets (monthly/quarterly/yearly).

  • • Manage cash flow and ensure spending aligns with financial principles.

  • • Oversee driver receivables and other outstanding balances to minimize risk and ensure accuracy.

    System . Process Management

  • • Implement and guide compliance with company processes and regulations.

  • • Conduct audits, propose improvements, and contribute to policy development.

    Operational Execution

  • • Manage vehicle intake and ensure readiness for market deployment per schedule.

  • • Cascade and enforce policies, procedures, and operational guidelines from the Taxi Operations Division.

  • • Oversee tools, equipment, and assets across all stages: inventory, driver handover, market deployment, and vehicles held by authorities.

  • • Control all advance payments, reimbursements, and expense settlements per financial regulations.

  • • Monitor vehicle maintenance and repair schedules.

  • • Coordinate with the Sales team to support business activities at the depot.

  • • Track vehicle status (idle, in service, under police custody) and expedite repair and deployment.

  • • Ensure compliance and collaborate with Quality Control to address violations.

  • • Drive operational performance and improve KPIs (GMV, GMV/vehicle/day, attrition rate, vehicle downtime, CR rate).

  • • Lead service quality improvement initiatives as required by the company.

  • • Prepare reports and documentation for government agencies and internal leadership as assigned.

  • • Ensure full implementation of audit checklist items, including corrective actions and compliance (fire safety, occupational health, etc.).
  • Candidate Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Transportation or related fields.

  • • 5-7 years in a management role within transportation, logistics, or service operations.

  • • Strong understanding of transportation laws, labor regulations, finance, and compliance.

  • • Resilient under pressure, proactive, honest, and eager to learn.

  • • Role model leadership, responsible, and decisive in problem-solving.

  • • In-depth understanding of the transportation industry and labor law.

  • • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • • Analytical thinking, reporting, and operational planning.

  • • Proficient in Word, Excel, and relevant tech platforms.
