As a member of the JP Morgan Financial Reporting Team, your role will involve the following responsibilities:
• Review primary financial statements in accordance with accounting and regulatory disclosure requirements within agreed deadlines.• Review regulatory and other reports as required.• Review Financial Statements and related accounting/portfolio information.• Perform ongoing analysis of client accounting records and escalate any potential issues identified.• Resolve team queries effectively.• Collaborate with partner sites for timely deliveries.• Interact with stakeholders to address any accounting or financial reporting-related queries.• Identify and act on opportunities to enhance processes, including providing recommendations for change and encouraging team members to suggest ideas for efficiency.• Ensure all Risk and Control checks are implemented and liaise with the OCM team in case of any issues.• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures within the team and escalate any deviations to supervisors.• Manage team objectives setting, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.• Collaborate with local and global management teams as required.Qualifications and Experience:
• 6+ years of experience in a Fund Accounting/Financial Reporting environment.• Experience in financial statements preparation.• Previous experience in managing a team of at least 10 people.• Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Finance (CPF), or MBA in Finance.• High level understanding of financial and regulatory reporting requirements.• Knowledge of financial instruments and their accounting treatment.• Experience with IFRS/US GAAP is advantageous.• Familiarity with Mutual funds/Hedge Fund/Capital Market.• Post-graduate/CA/CPA with a major in Finance/Accounting will be an added value.• Ability to lead effectively in challenging situations.• Strong motivational skills to keep team morale high.• Good understanding of fund administration and valuation functions within the organization.• Professional approach to delivering quality client service.• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours during peak reporting times and instill the same commitment in the team.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Result and target-oriented with self-motivation.
