Role Overview :
As the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and execution for the entire organization. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to define and deliver innovative solutions that drive business growth and enhance customer experience. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement the company's technology strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable software systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data and infrastructure.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product managers to define product roadmaps and prioritize features.
- Manage the technology budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who has progressed from hands-on engineering leadership (VP Engineering or Director level) into strategic C-suite roles, with direct experience building and scaling engineering orgs of 50+ people.
