About the Role
Role Overview:
As a hands-on, execution-focused Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at PropChk, you will have the opportunity to lead the entire technology function end-to-end. This is not a ceremonial role. You will be responsible for owning the entire tech stack, managing the external development agency, driving the development of new features, products, and applications, troubleshooting outages, performance issues, and security concerns, architecting long-term scalability, and eventually building and leading an in-house tech team consisting of Developers, QA, DevOps, and Architect. You must be comfortable with tasks ranging from writing code to defining product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take complete responsibility for PropChk's tech ecosystem
- Audit and improve current architecture
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement best practices in code quality and deployment
- Lead and control the external development partner
- Define sprint goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Enforce coding standards and architectural discipline
- Conduct code reviews and security reviews
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Lead development of new features in Admin Portal & Mobile App
- Improve performance, UX, and automation capabilities
- Build future-ready architecture for scale
- Oversee AWS infrastructure
- Ensure uptime, monitoring, logging, and backup systems
- Implement CI/CD pipelines
- Strengthen cloud security and IAM policies
- Optimize cost structures
- Implement secure authentication systems
- Strengthen API security and rate limiting
- Ensure encrypted communication and credential management
- Build robust disaster recovery protocols
- Hire and build in-house team (Frontend, Backend, QA, DevOps)
- Create development processes
- Establish documentation and knowledge management
- Define tech KPIs and accountability structure
