About the Role

You will be joining a Delhi NCR, India headquartered social/development sector-focused advisory and consulting firm with a team of 100+ ICT4D professionals. As the Chief Technical Officer, your role will involve providing technical leadership in all aspects of the business, focusing on technology systems, processes, software design, and development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • • Leading the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships

  • • Formulating a vision for technology utilization within the company

  • • Streamlining IT project requirements through a technological approach

  • • Outlining company goals and timelines for research and development

  • • Developing technical aspects of the companys strategy for alignment with its business goals

  • • Helping departments use technology profitably and acting as a mentor to middle management

  • • Making executive decisions on behalf of the companys technological requirements

  • • Keeping abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape

  • • Working closely with senior leadership to define and deliver new products and enhancements
  • Essential Tech Requirements:

  • • Broad knowledge of software engineering, including languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends

  • • Experience in designing and managing an effective IT governance framework

  • • Good understanding of agile methodologies

  • • In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design, and development

  • • Knowledge of the software development life cycle

  • • Basic understanding of software components (Frontend, Backend, API, Database Schema, etc.)

  • • Exposure to different off-the-shelf solutions like ZOHO, QuickBooks, Google Suite, etc.

  • • Requirement gathering for software and involvement in the entire SDLC
  • Essential Non-Tech Requirements:

  • • Accountable and ownership-taking attitude

  • • Strong sense of purpose in working in the space of Tech4Good, ICT4D, Social Impact

  • • Exceptional team management skills

  • • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • • Ability to multi-task and manage various deadlines

  • • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future

  • • Prior experience of handling multiple projects in different domains simultaneously

  • • Prior experience of managing large tech teams

  • • Bachelors degree in software, computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field
