Chief Technology Officer

Role Overview:
You are being offered the opportunity to join a fast-growing company based in Dubai that is focused on building a secure and scalable financial operating layer for the MENA region. As the Founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a crucial role in architecting and engineering a multi-tenant SaaS platform designed to handle sensitive financial data, complex decision workflows, and regulatory constraints. This is a ground-up infrastructure build with a long-term institutional ambition, and you will have full architectural ownership and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and build a multi-tenant SaaS platform

• Design scalable backend infrastructure using cloud-native technologies

• Lead system architecture, security, and DevOps setup

• Build AI-assisted workflows with LLM integrations

• Define GitHub governance, CI/CD processes, and code standards

• Recruit and lead an engineering team based in India

• Translate business logic related to mortgage and finance workflows into product architecture

• Prepare technical documentation for investors

• Own end-to-end system architecture, data modeling, and service segmentation

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and audit frameworks

• Design distributed systems and optimize performance

• Govern cloud-native infrastructure and deployment

• Establish engineering standards and a long-term technical roadmap

Qualifications Required:
Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering

• At least 3 years of experience in building SaaS products

• Previous experience in fintech, lending, payments, or financial systems

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable architecture

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like React or Next.js

• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Knowledge of database design including Postgres and NoSQL solutions

• Expertise in API architecture and integrations

• Strong focus on security with a data protection and encryption mindset

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and DevOps practices

• Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS models

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with AI integrations and LLM workflows

• Background in financial eligibility engines, underwriting logic, or risk models

• Prior involvement in building products from inception to scale
