Job Title: Chief Operational Officer
Location: Ahmedabad (On-site)
Experience Required: 3-6 Years
CTC Range: upto 8 Lpa
Working Days : 6 days

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational strategy and execution of our reusable rocket development and launch programs. The COO will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, manufacturing,

supply chain, launch execution, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective space missions.

Key Responsibilities


Operational Leadership




Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company vision and long-term launch goals
Oversee end-to-end rocket lifecycle operations: design support, manufacturing, integration, testing, launch, recovery, and refurbishment
Ensure timely delivery of reusable launch vehicles within cost and performance targets




Manufacturing & Supply Chain


Establish scalable production systems for reusable rocket stages and propulsion systems
Optimize supply chain management, vendor partnerships, and procurement processes
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices




Launch & Mission Operations


Supervise launch site operations, mission planning, and post-flight analysis
Ensure compliance with national and international space regulations
Maintain highest standards of safety, risk management, and quality assurance



Financial & Performance Management


Manage operational budgets and capital expenditure planning
Monitor KPIs related to turnaround time, reusability cycles, reliability, and cost per launch.
Drive operational efficiency to reduce cost per kilogram to orbit




Team & Culture Development


Build and lead high-performance engineering, production, and operations teams
Promote a culture of safety, innovation, accountability, and collaboration
Mentor senior managers and develop leadership pipeline




Strategic Partnerships


Collaborate with government agencies, private clients, and technology partners
Support business development initiatives with operational insights


Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Masters or MBA preferred)
03-06 years of leadership experience in aerospace, space technology, defense, or advanced manufacturing
Strong understanding of reusable rocket systems, propulsion, structures, avionics, and ground operations
Experience managing large-scale technical teams and multi-million-dollar budgets
Deep knowledge of safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks
Proven ability to scale operations in a high-growth environment

Preferred Skills

Experience in launch vehicle development or reusable systems
Knowledge of ISRO/IN-SPACe regulations or international space compliance
Strong negotiation, decision-making, and crisis management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
