About the Role

A highly visible and strategic opportunity with a rapidly scaling global platform, seeking an experienced finance leader to establish and lead their India Finance function. This is a
CFO-equivalent role , based in Mumbai, with end-to-end ownership of finance and significant engagement with global leadership and multiple business platforms.


This role offers a unique opportunity to build a finance organization from the ground up in a high-growth, evolving environment, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • • Building and leading the India finance function, including defining the operating model, governance framework, and control environment.

  • • Driving end-to-end controllership, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and close processes.

  • • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • • Owning statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance in India, ensuring strong governance and adherence to all requirements.

  • • Managing audits and external stakeholders including auditors, advisors, and consultants.

  • • Partnering closely with global finance teams on business onboarding, integrations, and strategic initiatives including M.A.

  • • Designing and implementing scalable billing, invoicing, and cost allocation frameworks across business units.

  • • Driving finance transformation through process improvement, automation, and implementation of robust systems and reporting frameworks.

  • • Building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing finance team, with accountability for talent development and organizational growth.

    • To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • • 15. years of experience in senior finance leadership roles within complex, multi-entity or global environments.

  • • Strong grounding across controllership, FP.A, tax, compliance, and audit.

  • • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling finance functions, preferably in high-growth or evolving setups.

  • • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels in a dynamic environment.

  • • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior global leadership.

  • • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
