About the Role

Role Overview:
Our client, one of India's leading real estate developers, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for their Residential Business. As the CFO, you will play a crucial role in providing financial oversight and strategic guidance to scale the business. The position requires a deep understanding of managing large-scale capital, driving project profitability, and navigating the complexities of high-stakes real estate growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Partner with the Chairman and CEO to drive the residential growth strategy.

  • • Provide financial leadership for the 4 to 5 major launches planned for Mumbai this year.

  • • Manage the deployment of capital following recent institutional infusions.

  • • Oversee project financing, cash flow management, and capital structure optimization for the residential portfolio.

  • • Lead the shift toward a professionalized, data-driven finance function.

  • • Ensure financial systems and processes support a rapidly scaling, high-volume business.

  • • Work closely with the COO and project teams to monitor project IRRs, construction costs, and sales velocity.

  • • Drive margin improvement through sharp financial discipline.

  • • Establish world-class governance standards and ensure transparency, reporting, and internal controls.

  • • Act as a trusted advisor to the promoter group and navigate the balance between entrepreneurial speed and institutional rigor.
  • Qualification Required:

  • • Deep experience in the Indian real estate sector, ideally within a large, Tier-1 developer in Mumbai or Delhi.

  • • Proven track record of working closely with promoters in a high-growth environment.

  • • Comfortable with the pace of multiple simultaneous project launches.

  • • Experience with IPO readiness, REITs, or large-scale private equity engagements is highly preferred.

  • • Ability to attract and mentor high-quality finance talent in a changing organizational culture. Role Overview:
