About the Role

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in our high-growth start-up environment based in Pune, you will play a crucial role in leading the financial strategy and operations. You will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to drive financial discipline, scalable growth, and ensure long-term profitability while maintaining compliance with Indian regulations and global markets.

Key Responsibilities: - Financial Strategy & Planning: - Develop and execute the companys financial strategy in alignment with business objectives. - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and capital allocation.

  • Capital Management & Fundraising: - Oversee capital structure, debt financing, equity raises, and maintain investor relations.

  • - Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, venture capital, and private equity firms.
    - Optimize working capital and cash flow management.

  • Risk Management & Compliance: - Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

  • - Ensure adherence to SEBI, RBI, FEMA, and Companies Act regulations.
    - Implement robust internal audit frameworks and SOX-like controls.

  • Team Leadership & Development: - Build and mentor a high-performing finance team covering accounting, FP&A, taxation, and treasury.

  • - Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Business Partnership: - Collaborate with COO, CTO, and department heads to drive cost efficiency and operational excellence.

  • - Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis.

    Qualification Required:

  • • Chartered Accountant or proven experience in the matter.

  • • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.

  • • 3 to 5 years as CFO or VP Finance (A plus if in the manufacturing or metal manufacturing industry).

  • • Proven track record in fundraising.

  • • Experience in the India market.

  • • Deep expertise in Indian taxation, transfer pricing, and cross-border financial structuring.

  • • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and financial modeling.

  • • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and big-picture thinking.

  • • Strategic and results-driven mindset.

  • • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
