Role Overview:

As the CFO - K12 School Business, based in Dehradun, you will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of the K-12 education vertical. This includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will work closely with the business heads, operations team, and other stakeholders to drive financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and support strategic decision-making to achieve the business's growth objectives. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the long-term financial health of the K-12 business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the overall business objectives of the K-12 vertical, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.

- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, providing insights and analysis to the leadership team for informed decision-making.

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working collaboratively with various departments to establish realistic and achievable financial targets.

- Manage the accounting and finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

- Drive financial planning and analysis activities, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance monitoring, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

- Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and provide recommendations to support strategic initiatives and business expansion.

- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic investments.

- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability within the K-12 education sector.

- Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

- Deep understanding of the K-12 education industry, including its unique financial challenges and opportunities.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

- Adaptability to work on-site in Dehradun, collaborating closely with the local team and stakeholders.

- Minimum 15-20 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with significant experience in a leadership role within the K-12 education sector.
