Role Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the finance function and partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive business growth, profitability, and financial discipline. Responsible for financial planning, project accounting, cost controls, treasury, compliance, and risk management.

What you'll do (high-level)

- Define and execute financial strategy; advise leadership on investments and risks.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and project-wise profitability tracking.

- Oversee project accounting, billing cycles (POC), cost control and collections.

- Manage treasury, banking relationships (BGs, LCs) and project financing.

- Ensure accurate reporting, audits, tax compliance and strong internal controls.

- Build and mentor a scalable finance team and drive ERP/automation initiatives.

Core Responsibilities (by area)

- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Align finance strategy to business goals and provide actionable financial insights.

- FP&A: Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and variance analysis; implement margin-improvement measures.

- Project Accounting & Cost Control: Oversee costing, revenue recognition (POC), BOQs, variations, and material/labour cost monitoring.

- Treasury & Cash Flow: Plan cash flow, optimise working capital, manage BGs/LCs and financing; reduce finance costs.

- Accounting & Compliance: Deliver timely financial reporting, audits, GST/Income Tax compliance and governance enhancements.

- Risk & Contract Management: Identify financial exposures in contracts, support negotiations, and implement mitigation plans for overruns and claims.

- Team Leadership: Build SOPs, scalable processes, and lead automation/ERP rollouts while mentoring finance and commercial teams.

Qualifications:

- CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

- 10-18+ years in finance with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong exposure to construction, facade, EPC, or project-based industries.

- Proven expertise in project accounting, contract/commercial management, and project financing (BGs/LCs).
