About the Role

As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the new e-commerce sportswear & athletics venture by RK Group in collaboration with a leading global footwear brand, you will play a pivotal role in setting up, leading, and scaling the complete finance function from the ground up. This foundational CFO role requires strong ownership across controllership, finance operations, compliance, and business finance, particularly within a high-volume e-commerce / marketplace environment.

Key Responsibilities: - Build and lead core finance functions including controllership, treasury, taxation, finance operations, and business finance - Hire, mentor, and scale the finance team - Define key financial metrics and develop dashboards for performance tracking

• Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning as a strategic finance partner to the CEO

• Evaluate business performance, operational risks, and working capital needs

• Present financial insights, MIS, and board-level reports

• Manage treasury operations and collaborate with banks and financial institutions

• Oversee end-to-end marketplace finance operations including settlements, reconciliations, collections, claims, returns, and leakages

• Manage relationships with marketplaces and brand partners

• Improve processes through automation, cost optimization, and service quality

• Ensure statutory, regulatory, audit, and tax compliance (GST, TDS, etc.)

• Establish robust internal controls, SOPs, and accounting policies
Qualification Required: - Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 10-15 years of experience, including strong exposure to e-commerce / retail / consumer brands

• Proven experience in setting up finance processes for a new or scaling business

• Strong controllership background with a hands-on execution mindset

• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

• Experience in fashion / footwear e-commerce is a strong plus
