Role Overview:
You are an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will join the executive leadership team. Your main responsibility will be overseeing the company's financial operations, strategy, and growth initiatives, including managing the company's international branches. Your role as CFO requires you to be a strategic visionary with strong leadership, financial planning, and decision-making skills. You will work closely with the Management Team and other key stakeholders to drive business performance, optimize financial efficiency, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Provide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
- Lead long-term financial modeling and strategic planning efforts.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analyses to the executive team and Board of Directors.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Monitor financial performance and recommend actionable insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with the business, including market fluctuations, liquidity, and credit risks.
- Oversee the implementation of financial controls, procedures, and policies to ensure robust governance and compliance.
- Oversee the company's cash flow, capital structure, and financing strategies, ensuring financial resources are available to support business growth.
- Lead fundraising efforts (debt and equity) and manage investor relations as required.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the finance department team, including finance analysts, accountants, and controllers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within the finance function.
- Lead financial due diligence and analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
- Oversee post-merger integration to ensure financial success and alignment with corporate strategy.
- Communicate the company's financial position, results, and strategy to stakeholders, including investors, analysts, and other key external parties.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualification Required:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably as a CFO or in a senior finance capacity within a complex corporate environment.
- Experience in managing international financial operations, including foreign exchange and cross-border transactions.
- Proven track record in managing complex financial transactions, M&A;, capital raising activities, and IPO management.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial modeling, risk management, and international forex management.
- Experience in the freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or transportation industry will be a significant advantage. Role Overview:
