About the Role

JOB ROLE:

The Chief Financial Officer/FC HK will oversee the financial, accounting, and commercial agenda for China/HK sourcing across two of our Business verticals. As a strategic partner to the Business Head, the individual will drive performance through strong financial planning, governance, and controls.

The role requires balancing strategic partnership and financial discipline, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence. Key focus areas include planning, budgeting and forecasting; financial planning and analysis (FP&A); accounts receivable/payable and working capital management; cost optimization and factory recovery; and timely, accurate financial reporting. The CFO will also lead policy implementation, drive IT and process automation, ensure compliance, and support performance tracking and operational decision-making. In addition, the CFO will work with central teams to embed Group-wide policies and may support HR matters within the vertical. The role is accountable for the financial health of the business and plays a critical part in ensuring profitability, transparency, and sustainable long-term growth.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 15+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a senior finance role.

- Proven experience managing financial operations in a medium to large organization.

- Experience in global organizations with strong Financial Control Matrix accomplishments would be an added advantage.

SKILLS:

- Sound knowledge and appreciation of Readymade Garment Business

- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, financial modelling, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance. Strong strategic planning and financial analysis capabilities.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with external stakeholders.

- Proficiency with financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and implement the organizations financial strategy aligned with business goals.

- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Business Head and leadership team to drive business performance.

- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support strategic initiatives.

- Lead Accounting and MIS Reporting of the BUs including Budgetary control

Financial Operations:

- Oversee all accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities.

- Managing implementation of various policies, upholding various controls and best practices across BUs o Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements by GAAP/IFRS.

- Managing cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.

- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

- Strengthen existing controls & efficiency parameters and develop new ones depending upon the demands of the business and through automation

- Good working knowledge of Trade finance documents flow/ LC and related matters (from opening till finally get paid) and all other banking related operations is must.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Direct the annual budgeting process, working closely with Business and department heads to forecast revenue, expenses, and capital needs.

- Monitor and analyze financial performance against the budget and provide regular updates to senior management.

- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement processes to measure progress against financial goals.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

- Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, overseeing all corporate tax planning and filings.

Capital Management:

- Oversee relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors, securing financing as needed.

- Net working capital management AR/ AP/ Inventory management and increase in ROCE for businesses through effective and compliant means o Monitor and manage the company's investment portfolios and evaluate returns.

Strategic Partnerships and Communication:

- Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to align financial strategies with operational needs and communicate financial performance.

- Serve as a liaison between the company and external partners, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.

- Work closely with Local /Central HR team for various HR related aspects and Central Shipping and Commercial team for shipping and commercial aspects
