About the Role

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the organization, your role is crucial in stewarding the financial health, resilience, and integrity of the company as it scales in size, complexity, and impact. You will act as a strategic partner to the Founder, leadership team, and Board, providing financial insight, robust systems, and strong governance to enable sustainable growth across diverse impact streams. This role combines strategic finance leadership, hands-on execution, and institution-building, essential for enabling long-term mission success.

Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic inputs on financial aspects of key organizational and programmatic decisions. - Enable data-driven decision-making by developing and presenting high-quality financial insights to the senior management team. - Partner closely with leadership and impact stream heads on new initiatives, pilots, and scale-up plans.

  • • Support the leadership team in building financial models to scale sustainably.

  • • Drive organization-wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring processes.

  • • Design, implement, and continuously improve financial planning and reporting systems aligned to the organization's growth and operational diversity.

  • • Review and analyze monthly financial results, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.

  • • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management, Board, donors, and regulators.

  • • Ensure full compliance with applicable direct and indirect tax laws.

  • • Oversee statutory audits, donor audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • • Manage organizational risk, including financial, legal, and compliance risks.

  • • Lead and oversee legal affairs, contracts, and financial controls across the organization.

  • • Provide regular updates to the Board on financial performance, compliance, and regulatory matters.

  • • Manage funds and treasury operations with a strong focus on optimizing risk, returns, and liquidity.

  • • Establish robust controls for fund utilization, tracking, and reporting across multiple funding sources.

  • • Ensure alignment with donor expectations, regulatory requirements, and best practices in nonprofit financial management.
