About the Role

As a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Pune, Maharashtra, in the service industry, your role will be crucial in leading the financial strategy of the Group. You will be responsible for shaping the financial landscape, ensuring compliance, enhancing working capital efficiency, and preparing the organization for future growth and engagement with capital markets.

Key Responsibilities: - Financial Strategy & Business Partnership - Collaborate with the Director and CEO to align financial strategy with business objectives. - Lead budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
- Provide data-driven financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Identify financial innovations to drive business expansion.

  • Financial Operations, Controls & Compliance - Establish and strengthen financial control frameworks.

  • - Oversee audits, taxation, and risk management.
    - Manage multi-entity consolidation.
    - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Working Capital, Treasury & Cash Flow Management - Manage working capital and collections efficiency.

  • - Handle treasury operations and liquidity planning.
    - Build strong relationships with banking institutions.
    - Optimize debt-equity mix and oversee loan management.

  • Capital Structuring & Business Growth - Optimize capital strategy across the Group.

  • - Oversee capital raise initiatives.
    - Evaluate financial viability of new ventures.
    - Support M&A opportunities as needed.

  • Investor Relations & Stakeholder Engagement - Build credibility with investors and stakeholders.

  • - Prepare financial reports and strategic plans.
    - Ensure transparent reporting systems.
    - Respond to queries from financial stakeholders.

  • IPO Readiness & Governance Strengthening - Prepare finance function for potential IPO.

  • - Ensure governance upgrades and compliance readiness.
    - Enhance board-level financial reporting.
    - Drive adoption of reporting standards.

  • Digital Transformation & Financial Innovation - Drive automation of financial operations.

  • - Utilize technology for forecasting and reporting.
    - Promote a data-first finance culture.
    - Implement fintech solutions for efficiency.

  • Team Leadership & Finance Function Building - Lead and mentor a finance team.

  • - Build a high-performance finance function.
    - Drive capability development within the team.
    - Establish clear KPIs and performance processes.

    Experience & Background:

  • • 1518 years of finance leadership experience.

  • • Hands-on experience in financial planning, corporate finance, and taxation.

  • • Experience in service-driven businesses preferred.

  • • Experience in large organizations with revenues of 500 Cr+ preferred.

  • • M&A experience is an advantage.

  • • SAP / ERP experience is essential.
  • Technical & Functional Competencies:

  • • Expertise in Indian financial regulations.

  • • Strong financial modeling and reporting skills.

  • • Proven track record in leading finance teams.

  • • Strong understanding of treasury operations and debt management.

  • • Expertise in capital structuring and investor reporting.

  • In addition to the above details, it is essential for candidates to have a clean legal track record, with no pending fraud, criminal, or regulatory cases, and to uphold the highest standards of personal and professional integrity. Educational qualifications preferred include being a Chartered Accountant (CA), while Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) or MBA in Finance will also be considered from Tier 1/Tier 2 B-Schools.
