About the Role

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at our high-growth start-up in Pune, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations. Your responsibilities will span from leading financial planning to ensuring compliance with Indian regulations and global market standards. Here's what you can expect in this dynamic role:

  • • Financial Strategy & Planning: - Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives. - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. - Provide strategic recommendations on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and capital allocation to the CEO and Board.

  • • Capital Management & Fundraising: - Oversee capital structure, debt financing, equity raises, and investor relations.

    • - Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, venture capital, and private equity firms.
    - Optimize working capital and cash flow management.

  • • Risk Management & Compliance: - Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

    • - Ensure adherence to SEBI, RBI, FEMA, and Companies Act regulations.
    - Implement robust internal audit frameworks and SOX-like controls.

  • • Team Leadership & Development: - Build and mentor a high-performing finance team covering accounting, FP&A, taxation, and treasury.

    • - Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

  • • Business Partnership: - Collaborate with COO, CTO, and department heads to enhance cost efficiency and operational excellence.

    • - Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis.

    Required Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant or equivalent proven experience.

  • • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.

  • • 3 to 5 years in a CFO or VP Finance role (preferred in manufacturing or metal manufacturing industry).

  • • Proven track record in fundraising.

  • • Experience in the Indian market.

  • • Deep expertise in Indian taxation, transfer pricing, and cross-border financial structuring.

  • • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and financial modeling.

  • • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and big-picture thinking.

  • • Strategic and results-driven mindset.

  • • Proficiency in English communication is a must.

    • Preferred Qualifications: - MBA in Finance.
