About the Role

The Role :

We are looking for an Associate Director to lead and scale our India-based Merchandising & Pricing Technology engineering team (50+ members). You will own end-to-end delivery, talent development, and technical leadership across three strategic pillars : Product Lifecycle & Assortment Management, Enterprise Pricing & Revenue Management, and 3P Marketplace Enablement. This is not a siloed offshore role you will operate as a strategic engineering leader with direct access to US-based business and technology stakeholders.

What Youll Do :

- Lead a 50+ member engineering organization across multiple product teams, managing delivery of support, enhancements, and strategic initiatives

- Own the technology delivery lifecycle for platforms spanning Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM), item onboarding, enrichment, and content syndication across 100,000+ SKUs

- Drive pricing and promotions platform delivery including promotional pricing, competitive pricing, margin optimization, and B2B contract quoting / CPQ workflows

- Oversee marketplace technology pricing engines, catalog syndication, and listing management across major third-party marketplaces

- Partner with US-based engineering managers, architects, and business stakeholders (merchants, pricing analysts, marketplace operations) to align on roadmaps and delivery cadence

- Drive modernization of legacy systems toward cloud-native, event-driven, microservices-based architectures

- Champion AI-native engineering practices embed AI tooling across the SDLC to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and amplify team productivity

- Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent; build a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

What You Bring :

Required :

- 12+ years in IT with deep experience in merchandising, pricing, or e-commerce technology systems

- Proven leadership managing large engineering teams (50+) in a GCC, captive center, or equivalent global delivery model

- Strong functional acumen across at least two of : PIM/MDM platforms, pricing & promotions engines, CPQ / contract management systems, or marketplace technology

- Technical depth in Java, Spring Boot, React or Angular, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms (Azure or GCP)

- Experience driving system modernization, cloud migration, and DevOps / CI/CD adoption at scale

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills ability to engage directly with senior US-based business and technology leaders

- Demonstrated adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and practices as a force multiplier across teams

Preferred :

- Experience in global retail, B2B distribution, or large-scale e-commerce environments

- Hands-on experience with enterprise PIM/MDM, CPQ, or pricing platforms (SaaS or custom-built)

- Track record of leading cloud-native transformation programs and event-driven architecture adoption

- Experience operating in a matrixed, globally distributed organization

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
