About the Role
As the Accounting Operations Lead Director at Evernorth, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing the emerging Accounting team at the Global Capability Center (GCC) location in Hyderabad. Your responsibilities will include shaping a high-performing team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with global accounting policies, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and development. Key Responsibilities: - Team Building and Leadership: Lead recruitment, training, and development of a talented accounting team to achieve exceptional results. - Change Management: Drive change initiatives to enhance team performance, operational efficiency, and foster a culture of innovation. - Emerging Development Opportunities: Proactively identify and leverage opportunities to enhance team capabilities and service offerings. - Technical Expertise: Apply deep understanding of US GAAP and statutory insurance accounting to ensure compliance with relevant policies. - Continuous Learning: Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the team to stay updated on accounting practices and technologies. - Operational Oversight: Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of accounting services while maintaining robust internal controls.
Risk & Controls: - Ensure effective execution and documentation of accounting controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with company policies.
Process Excellence: - Facilitate documentation of tasks, process workflows, and artifacts for effective process management.
Business Partnership: - Cultivate strong engagement with accounting teams in the US and India to provide insights supporting strategic initiatives.
